Through the Fire, The Fourth ManChaka Khan's Through the fire, is the soundtrack of this post, hopefully you'll hear it like I do, by the end. 2023 is off to a different, but great start. Something that I've struggled with most of my life is the fear of major change and oddly enough, that is all my life has been for the past 6 years. I am still not 100 percent comfortable with it, but I'm learning how to trust and talk to God through these moments of uncertainty and anxiety. He allows me to vent to Him through prayer and I come out on the other side, even after a few times, depending and believing in Him, a little more!
If you're facing anything remember that God won't take every trial away from us as Christians 1 Peter 5:6-10, but in the end, on the other side of it, He will place us on a firm foundation. There is no trial that is wasted, God is speaking and teaching us through every trial (Isaiah 48:10). Give Him your cares while you're going through it, He is a faithful friend, He'll never leave you (John 14:16). One of the best revelations I have received on this journey is that God will go through it with you, He's the God of the middle moments too, it's not just about the beginning of a season or the end, He's in it with you, just ask the men who were with Him walking in the furnace (Daniel 3:24-27). Back to Through the Fire by Chaka Khan, "Through the fire Through whatever, come what may." With Love, Carolyn P.S. He's willing to go with you through the fire, and when you're in it with Him, you'll come out on the other side not even smelling like smoke.

Even after the fire and storms are through, your destiny is not far, and healing can happen within the storm. Your destiny is on the other side.Let’s talk about identity! There exists a strange dichotomy between what is expected of you, and who you really are. Thats what I want to talk about…your core. As women we have so many sides, people in general are not one dimensional but full of beauty and diversity. Just like God himself we are full of wonderful things, God is not only faithful but he’s protective, He’s loving and tender, and at the same time He’s ALL POWERFUL. If you have read Psalms or Isaiah you know God doesn’t play about His kids, just ask David! ( see 1 sam 17:37). I am so blessed to be in this 25th chapter of my life, where the strength of my identity is dependent upon the intimacy I develop with Christ. I want to be my authentic self but it requires time in worship, vulnerability, obedience and discipline. Not the most fun to think about, but these things are necessary parts of unearthing the authentic YOU that God created. God is good in all seasons and I know that He is faithful, and committed to seeing you and I win and become what He has planned all along. That in itself is enough to keep me going, and the cool thing is, it doesn’t matter your mistakes, your detours, your failures, they do not dictate God’s plan for you, or what He says about you. You will still be a beauty, even after the fire and storms are through. Your destiny is not far, and healing can happen within the storm. Your destiny is on the other side. The key of your core is Christ, you're not what people say you are, you are who God says you are! Take heart. Always encouraging you, Carr |
